Receive the King’s Gift

Scripture: Isaiah 61:10

God does not merely invite us to His feast; He provides what we need to attend. His grace is a gift, not a reward for having performed well enough. In Christ, God covers our sin and gives us the righteousness we could never produce for ourselves.

That truth frees us from both pride and despair. We cannot boast as though we earned God’s favor, and we do not need to despair when we see our failures. Jesus is our worthiness. His righteousness is our garment. His forgiveness makes us ready to stand before God with joy.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of righteousness You give me in Jesus. Keep me from trusting in my own accomplishments, and keep me from despairing over my failures. Help me rest in Christ. Amen.
