Don’t Waste Your Regrets

Scripture: 1 John 1:8–9

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Repentance is not a one-time event reserved for people who are becoming Christians. It is part of the entire life of a believer. We will continue to discover attitudes, words, and actions that need to change. The good news is that Jesus does not abandon us when we get it wrong. He meets us with forgiveness and continues His work in us.

So don’t waste your regrets. Bring them to God. Be willing to change your mind. Be teachable and humble. The goal is not to become someone who never gets anything wrong; it is to become someone who is increasingly willing to listen to God, receive His forgiveness, and follow where He leads.

Prayer:
Faithful God, keep my heart humble and teachable. When I recognize my sin, help me confess it, receive Your forgiveness, and walk forward in the freedom and new life You have given me through Jesus. Amen.

Application:
What is one lesson God may be teaching you through a recent mistake, regret, or failure?
