Grace in the Struggle
Scripture: Philippians 1:29-30
Reflection:
Paul reminds the Philippians that following Christ does not mean that suffering will disappear. Believers may experience hardship because they belong to Jesus. Yet even in suffering, God has not abandoned His people.
This is important because our hope cannot depend on having more good days than bad days. Circumstances change. Our health, relationships, work, finances, and responsibilities change. But Jesus does not change. When we suffer, we can bring our struggles honestly to Him while trusting that His presence, strength, forgiveness, and love are enough.
Prayer:
Faithful Lord, be near to me in my struggles. When life is painful or uncertain, remind me that I belong to You and that Your grace is sufficient for me. Amen.
Application:
What struggle do you need to bring honestly to Jesus today while trusting His presence with you?
