To Live Is Christ

Scripture: Philippians 1:19-21

Reflection:
Paul writes one of the most powerful statements in Scripture: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” His life was not ultimately defined by comfort, success, health, or freedom. His life was defined by Jesus.

That changes the way we understand both good days and difficult days. If we live, we have opportunities to love, serve, encourage, and point others to Christ. Whatever our circumstances may be, Jesus is with us. We belong to Him, and that gives our lives a purpose that circumstances cannot take away.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, make my life increasingly centered on You. Use my time, abilities, relationships, and circumstances to bless others and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
