The Greatest Gift

Reflection

Paul points us to the cross as the ultimate proof of God’s love. The Father did not withhold His own Son but gave Him up for us all. If God has already given us His greatest gift, we can trust Him with everything else we need for life and salvation.

That does not mean every desire will be fulfilled exactly as we hope. It does mean that our heavenly Father never acts apart from His love. When uncertainty creeps into your heart, remember the cross. It is God’s permanent declaration that He is committed to your good.

Prayer

Father, thank You for giving Your Son for my salvation. Help me trust Your heart when I cannot understand Your ways. Keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Amen.
