No Condemnation

Scripture: Romans 8:1-2
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.”

Reflection
After all the honest wrestling in chapter 7, Paul lands here: no condemnation. Not “less condemnation” or “condemnation you have to work off over time” — none. If you belong to Christ, this is your standing before God right now, in the middle of your ongoing struggle with sin. The law of sin and death used to hold you prisoner; the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has broken those chains.

This truth doesn’t make your sin nature disappear overnight, but it does change what your failures mean. They no longer define your identity or your standing before God. That identity is settled in Christ.

Prayer
Father, thank You that there is no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. Let this truth sink deep into my heart today, especially in the moments I feel most convinced I don’t measure up. Amen.
