The Glory Waiting for You

Scripture

“And we exult in hope of the glory of God.” — Romans 5:2b (NASB)

Reflection

Paul says that those who have been justified by faith are not just forgiven—they are being prepared for something glorious. The “hope of the glory of God” means that one day we will fully share in what God is: radiant, whole, perfect, unhindered by sin or suffering. We are headed toward a new creation where we will reign with Christ and reflect His image completely.

This is not wishful thinking. It is a certain destiny for all who belong to Jesus. And that certainty should utterly reframe how we see our present circumstances. The difficulties, frustrations, and disappointments of today are not the final chapter. They are not even close to the final chapter. What lies ahead is incomparably greater. When the story of our lives feels like it is stuck or falling apart, the gospel invites us to zoom out and remember where the story is heading—and to live right now in light of that glorious end.

Prayer

Lord, I confess that I often lose sight of where the story is heading. The difficulties of today can feel so final. Lift my eyes to the hope of glory—the certain, coming day when all will be made right. Help me to live today in light of that future, with joy and confidence and purpose. Amen.
