When Fear Takes Over
Scripture: Isaiah 41:8–10
Fear can quietly shape our choices. We may avoid a difficult conversation, hide the truth, or try to control every outcome because we are unsure whether we will be safe. Beneath many of these patterns is a struggle to trust God. Fear tells us that we are on our own; God’s promise tells us that He is with us and will uphold us.
God does not promise that every hard situation will disappear. He promises His presence and help within it. We can bring our fears into the light of His Word and take the next faithful step, trusting that our lives are held by Him rather than by our ability to control everything.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You know the fears that influence my choices. Remind me that You are with me, and give me courage to speak and act faithfully even when the way ahead feels difficult. Amen.
Application question: Is there a conversation or responsibility you have been avoiding because of fear, and how might God’s promise of presence help you take one step?
