God’s Patient Kindness

Scripture: Romans 2:4

“God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance.”

When our hearts are not where they should be, God does not respond by crushing or abandoning us. He is patient with us. His kindness draws us back. Rather than giving us only a lecture about what we have done wrong, He gives us a Savior.

We come to realize the importance of God’s patience when we recognize our own stubbornness. God knows our weaknesses, yet He continues to work in us through His Word and Spirit. His kindness is not permission to remain unchanged; it is the gracious invitation that makes repentance possible.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your patience with me. Help me recognize Your kindness and respond by turning toward You rather than running away from You. Amen.

Application:
How have you experienced God’s patience with you, and how might His patience shape the way you treat someone who is struggling?
