Wisconsin Mask Mandate – Hope Update

July 30, 2020

God be with you, Hope family!

As you likely have heard, Gov. Evers has issued an order today requiring the wearing of a face covering in buildings where people of more than one household are gathered (which would include churches), effective August 1. This mandate applies to all people age 5 and older. In compliance with this order, all those who join us in worship at Hope or who gather for meetings or other business beginning August 1 will be required to follow Wisconsin’s mask mandate. If you are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition or a disability, you are exempted from the state’s order. More information can be found in the text of the order here: https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/WIGOV/2020/07/30/file_attachments/1507337/EMO01-FaceCoverings.pdf.

We still have a limited supply of masks available for those who may not have one – they are located on a table just inside our main entrance.

We pray that God will bless our community with health and our leaders with wisdom during these trying days. And may God keep us safe and grant us grace to bear with one another in patience and love, and so demonstrate that Christ is in our midst.

Christ’s peace and joy,

Pastor Baye
